MONTCLAIR WOMEN'S BIG BAND

The Montclair Women's Big Band is a Bay Area treasure. Founded in 1997 by veteran trumpeter Ellen Seeling and saxophonist Jean Fineberg, the group is an alliance of some of the region's best jazzwomen. Forging a singular blues-drenched sound with a deep Latin pocket and captivating original material, the band electrifies audiences with their powerhouse ensemble, addictive grooves and inspired solos. All About Jazz claims "the Montclair Women's Big Band is one of the most formidable jazz ensembles on the West Coast....this is premium-grade big band jazz, rigorously blended for high mileage and maximum pleasure."
